Tissue Paper Wax Resist Halloween Silhouettes- 3rd Grade
Here’s a fun and easy Halloween Art Lesson. Tissue paper bleeding is a great to watercolor. Create more complex silhouettes for upper elementary grades.
Materials: Watercolor Paper, yellow & black oil pastel or crayon, Pencil & eraser, water cup, paint brush, Tissue Paper (cut into squares). Be sure to test it to make sure the color bleeds.
I pre-cut squares of tissue paper.
I used watercolor paper and oil pastels to create the Halloween silhouettes.
Wet the watercolor paper with water and a brush and place the squares of tissue paper to cover the whole paper (the kids will have to keep wetting the paper as they’re working).
When the tissue paper dries, you can shake it right off and the amazing colors are left behind.
