This year I decided to focus the first few lessons of the year on drawing. It really has been going so well. It is making such a difference.
I set up this still life at the front of the class.
We worked step by step through the drawing, breaking it down into simple shapes. Talking about the height and size of the brushes, the space between them. We added shading, shadows and a background. Then details on the brushes.
Materials: simple still life, pencils, paper, eraser
This went so well I used similar lessons in 2nd & 3rd.
